On June 19th, 2022, Instagram page posted a version of the meme that read, "White people don't say hip hip hurray anymore, they say THAT's retarded (ina good way)." The post gathered over 800 likes in nearly five months (seen below, right). Because most of these noises cannot be heard by other snakes, they are meant to communicate with. Some of the sounds and noises snakes make include hissing, rattling, buzzing, growling, and shrieking. On July 15th, 2021, Instagram page posted another version of the meme, now reading "White people don't say hip hip hurray anymore / They say based and redpilled." The post gathered over 500 likes in over a year (seen below, left). Most people are familiar with the adrenaline-spiking sound of a hiss or rattle, but snakes make plenty more noises than just your typical hiss.
The meme was reposted by other meme pages in subsequent weeks. On May 21st, 2021, Instagram page posted an edit of the previous image, changing it to read, "White people don't say hip hip hurray anymore / They say let's go." The post gathered over 140 likes in over a year (seen below). The meme was subsequently reposted to Twitter and Instagram by several users in the following years.
